Have you ever thought about being a Fostercarer for rescued dogs?

Here is a wonderful opportunity to become a Fostercarer with the best support available through Sankiri Dog Rescue Inc.

Fostercaring is very good for the person who perhaps loves dogs but is unable to commit to a long term relationship due to travelling etc. Dogs usually stay with you for a few weeks until they undergo basic training and find a new forever home.

It’s extremely sad when an owner surrenders a dog that requires only a small amount of basic education to become a wonderful pet. A high percentage of the problems are brought about through lack of education of the owner; the ultimate price is paid by the dog ending up being euthanized.

Sankiri Dog Rescue Inc has been established to help these dogs who, through no fault of their own, have found themselves alone and with no one to care for them. A very high percentage of these dogs, if given the opportunity plus basic training, can be successfully rehabilitated into forever loving homes.

We are seeking Volunteer Fostercarers who have the time and resources to take our rescue dogs into their homes and to provide them with whatever they need. For most rescued dogs it is a soft place to land and for some it is rehabilitation, then we find them loving lifelong homes. Fostercarers do not have to pay for Vet fees or for the basic training.

Sankiri Dog Rescue is Dog Rescue with a difference. We provide that vital extra support for Fostercarers and Adopting families with Sankiri’s dog training being a key part of happy Fostercare and successful re-homing.

Lorraine McLennan, President of Sankiri Dog Rescue, has many years of experience with Dog Rescuing and her Sankiri Dog Training programmes are highly regarded.

Lorraine will provide a short course of 5 lessons covering basic obedience & behavioural issues.

This training will be provided to the Fostercarer by Sankiri Dog Rescue Inc. at no charge. This will be of benefit to the dog and it will also help the Fostercarer manage and enjoy the dog.

At Sankiri Dog Rescue we assess each dog’s exercise needs and provide them with a great opportunity to learn to socialise with other dogs, people and other animals so they can become good well balanced canine citizens.

This allows us to give Fostercarers comprehensive information on each dog. Then with the added benefit of basic training as well, each dog is very well positioned for successful adopting by the right family.

Fostercaring for rescued dogs is a wonderfully rewarding way to embrace your love of dogs and be a vital part of a successful dog rescue program without the long term commitment of owning your own dog.

However Fostercarers often do have their own dog which is a good way for the incoming rescued dog to socialise and enjoy canine company.

If you are interested please call Lorraine ……….. for a no obligation chat.

***Fostercarers do not have to pay vet fees nor do they pay for the basic training.
